It doesn’t look like a place to live, does it? It looks like a place to stop, maybe, for a little while- to file reports and hold summits- but just as the armour holds Shepard together (hard to fall apart when you’re surrounded by black and red and white, the stripe that reminds you who you are) the Normandy is a shell that makes them what they need to be too.
